New Vehicle Technologies

There are a variety of new fuels being developed, many of which produce lower or zero emissions per passenger kilometre. However, this is only one part of the story and the energy inputs required can sometimes result in a shift of emissions from tailpipe to fuel production. The energy inputs required will vary and moves to new technology should consider all GHG emissions associated with the production of fuels.
