Compressed Air
A compressed air car, the AirCar has been developed by MDI and is being produced in France. It uses compressed air cylinders to power the car and has a range of 300km. There are zero emissions from running the car but producing compressed air is a relatively inefficient process and embodied emissions from the electricity used to produce it may be high.
