ECCM is one of Europe's leading centres of expertise in climate change mitigation projects, research, policy and systems. Companies and national institutions are now looking beyond simple monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. We enable our clients to evaluate and control greenhouse gas impacts, as part of every day business.

Most members of staff have worked at the Institute of Ecology and Resource Management at Edinburgh University, which is renowned for its scientific work on climate change. ECCM has maintained close links with the University through the Edinburgh Carbon Management Programme (ECMP) and has developed a close relationship with a number of leading scientific and technical centres, including British Geological Survey, World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). We also work closely with our parent company, Greenergy International, providing the carbon management systems for GlobalDiesel and other low carbon fuels.

These relationships enable us to produce cost-effective, policy-relevant systems and research for policy makers and industrialists, with clear explanations of underlying assumptions and uncertainties.
